Silesian lemon-strawberry dessert

  • Hortex strawberries without stems 1 package
  • Icing sugar 200 g
  • Warm water 120 ml
  • Eggs 4
  • Gelatin 4 teaspoons
  • Juice and zest from half a lemon
  • Whipped cream for decoration
  • Salt a pinch


Step 1

Thaw the strawberries and blend them (set aside a few for decorating the dessert). Beat the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form, and beat the egg yolks with sugar. Then, mix everything together well.

Step 2

Dissolve the gelatin in warm water, and pour the cooled mixture into the container with the egg mixture.

Step 3

Then, divide the mixture in half: add lemon juice and zest to one, and blended strawberries to the other.

Step 4

Pour the resulting mixtures alternately into glasses or cups, and decorate with strawberries. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator until set. Before serving, you can decorate it further with whipped cream.
