Ukrainian borscht with smoked meat

  • Hortex Ukrainian borscht mix 1 package
  • Smoked bones 300 g
  • Smoked bacon 100 g
  • Dried porcini mushrooms 10 g
  • Carrot 1
  • Small celery 1
  • Onion 1
  • A piece of leek
  • Cloves 2
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Salt and pepper


Step 1

Place the smoked bones in a large pot, add peeled vegetables, bay leaf, and allspice, pour 2 liters of water and simmer on low heat for about 2 hours

Step 2

Then soak the dried mushrooms

Step 3

Strain the finished meat broth into another pot, then add the soaked mushrooms and Ukrainian borscht

Step 4

Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes. At the end of cooking, add diced and fried bacon.
