Borscht Ukrainian

  • Hortex Ukrainian Borscht 1 package
  • Potatoes 3
  • Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Sour cream 1 tablespoon
  • Bouillon cube 1 cube
  • Clove 2
  • Peppercorns 3 grains
  • Bay leaf 1 leaf
  • Salt


Step 1

Pour the contents of the package into a pot and add about 1 litre of water, a bouillon cube, cloves, bay leaf, and peppercorns. Add 1 tablespoon of vinegar and diced potatoes. Cook for about 20 minutes.

Step 2

Season with salt to taste towards the end of cooking. The borscht can be served with a dollop of thick sour cream as a garnish.
