Quick vegetable broth

Ingredients

  • Hortex Strips of Vegetables for Broth 2 packages
  • Peppercorns 10
  • Cloves 5
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Fresh parsley or lovage a few sprigs
  • Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cover the Hortex strips of vegetables for broth, bay leaf, a few cloves, and peppercorns with cold water (approx. 1.5 litres) and boil over medium heat for 30 minutes

Step 2

Then, add a few sprigs of fresh parsley or lovage, season with salt to taste and continue cooking for a little while. 

Step 3

Serve as a standalone dish with your favourite additions (pasta, croutons or dumplings) or use as a base for any vegetable soups.
